2. Overview

You can visit this website without telling us who you are. We do not use cookies, analytics or tracking tools, and we do not use advertising networks. Fonts are stored on our own server, so no connection to third party font services is made when you open a page.

3. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by STRATO AG, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. When you open a page, the server automatically records technical information that your browser transmits: IP address, date and time of the request, the page requested, the referring page, browser type and operating system. This data is needed to deliver the website and to keep it secure. It is not combined with other data. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure and functioning website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

4. Booking requests by WhatsApp or email

Our booking form does not send any data to our server. When you choose “Send request on WhatsApp” or “Send request by email”, your WhatsApp or email app opens with a prepared message. Only when you send that message do we receive the information it contains, such as your name, travel dates, number of guests, your phone number or email address and your message. We use this data to answer your request and to handle your booking (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR).

WhatsApp is a service of WhatsApp Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, Ireland, part of Meta Platforms. When you contact us via WhatsApp, the privacy policy of WhatsApp also applies. If you prefer, you can contact us by email or phone instead.

5. Bookings and your stay

For a confirmed booking we process the data needed to reserve your room and to receive you as our guest, including any guest registration required by law. We keep this data only as long as necessary for these purposes and for statutory retention periods (Art. 6 (1) (b) and (c) GDPR).

6. Booking platforms and online payment

If you book through a booking platform such as Booking.com, Airbnb, Expedia or Agoda, the platform passes on the booking data we need to host you. The privacy policy of the respective platform applies to your use of it. Online prepayments are processed by a payment service provider; we do not store your full card details.

7. Links to Google Maps

The buttons to open directions or the map are simple links. No map is loaded on our website. Data is only transferred to Google Ireland Limited when you click one of these links and open Google Maps.

8. Your rights

You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict its processing, to object to its processing and to receive it in a portable format. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. Guests from Egypt can also rely on the rights granted by the Egyptian Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020. To exercise your rights, simply contact us at info@aureliapyramids.com.
